Clínic Center of Diagnostic by Imaging (CDIC)

The Clinical Diagnostic Imaging Centre (CDIC) is responsible for performing studies corresponding to the specialties of Radiography and Nuclear Medicine for Hospital Clínic patients as well as those from other public or private centres. The studies performed are not exclusively morphological; they also include functional studies, both diagnostic and therapeutic in nature.

In recent years the CDIC has enhanced the development of all types of surgery and therapy, such as:

  • Sentinel lymph node detection
  • Treatment of liver tumours: alcoholisation, radiofrequency, embolisation
  • Treatment bone and lung tumours with radiofrequency
  • Treatment of vascular malformations and cerebral aneurysms
  • Treatment of aortic aneurysms
  • Treatment of peripheral vascular stenosis
  • Treatment of metastatic bone pain
  • Vertebroplasty
